Express Scripts

As the lead writer for the Government Solutions marketing team, I write and conceptualize sales support collateral, lead-generation direct mail packages, and member communications for diverse media channels (print, digital, e-mail, website, telephone). These materials are designed to:

  • Promote a strong brand awareness for Express Scripts and Express Scripts Medicare prescription drug plan
  • Boost client and member acquisition and retention rates
  • Promote enhanced pharmacy benefit solutions to employer and health plan clients
  • Drive organic growth through greater use of home delivery and specialty pharmacy services
  • Ensure plan members get the most value from their prescription drug benefit
  • Minimize call center member noise for employer and health plan clients

Collaborating with creative directors and graphic designers, I have developed concepts and written copy for the following  marketing communications in 2014-2015:

  • More than 17 traditional and digital marketing campaigns for 2015 Medicare Open Enrollment, which have resulted in a 119% increase in enrollment call volume, 18% increase in enrollment kit requests, 2.26 click-thru rate (CTR) for search ads, and 114% overall year-over-year (YOY) increase in plan enrollments
  • Targeted alert letters for Medicare beneficiaries  approaching or in the Part D Coverage Gap that generated a 7% conversion rate to home delivery pharmacy services
  • Sales materials for an insurance broker campaign that resulted in a 37% YOY increase in member acquisition during the Medicare Open Enrollment period
  • Membership welcome kit for a major health plan client that incorporated health literacy best practices and helped secure a new three-year contract with the client
  • Two extensive research reports on medication utilization trends among Public Health Insurance Exchange members that generated over 180 media placements and 363 million media impressions
