As a dedicated, resourceful journalism graduate with considerable experience in providing a variety of multimedia content, I am looking for a position within broadcasting to further expand my ability and passion for reporting on news and sport. I built the foundations of my career writing for media outlets, websites and publications, learning different facets of covering breaking news and sporting events. My time at university has allowed me to expand into other areas, including creating content for local, national and international outlets, interviewing, live event coverage and website editorial duties. I believe that these skills, coupled with my strong work ethic and unparalleled dedication to my duties, will provide immediate value within the industry.

Work History

May 2015Present

I have continued to build upon the skills gained during my degree, by moving into the broadcasting industry. I started working with presenters and producers at RNIB Connect Radio as an on-air contributor to a variety of programmes on the station's schedule, later working as both a show and content producer.

Alongside that role, I am also a web content editor, content producer and social media manager for Double Tap.

Alongside four years of studying, I was fortunate to work across numerous areas of journalism, broadcasting and content producing, ranging from interviewing and presenting with Sunset & Vine, Creative Loop and St Mirren, camera work at Rangers TV and for UWS, video editing for The Global City, audio production and script writing, court reporting, as well as producing written work for The Mirror, the Scottish FA, the SPFL, and others.

From a background in blogging and producing online content as a hobby, I began writing freelance for various companies including Buzz Sports, Betting Expert and On a Roll Media. Specialising in sport, I gained significant experience in writing to deadlines, tailoring work to specific audiences and in self-promotion. In addition to these, I had freelance roles with Glasgow Food & Drink Guide, as well as resume writing companies.
