Primary Duties:

  • Build, test, and deploy responsive Marketing Cloud emails using HTML, CSS, and AMPscript to support marketing campaigns and customer lifecycle journeys.

Primary Duties:

  • Code and maintain all Banyan customer emails, working closely with the creative team to execute a shared vision for each campaign.

  • Update and maintain on-site content including banners, CMS blocks, educational material, blog articles, images, and product listings.

  • Work with the Content Team to ensure the best customer experience possible when browsing Banyan content, whether on Banyanbotanicals.com or Banyan’s Amazon store.

  • Update content across the site as requested, including photo and graphic placement, updating photography, implementing copy and formatting edits, and minor improvements to mobile responsiveness.

  • Update page layouts and live-text banner creation (using HTML and CSS) on a monthly or as-needed basis.

  • Format all new content on site (HTML) using the Content Management System.

  • Work closely with the Senior Graphic Designer to execute creative on-site.

  • Make recommendations for UI and UX improvements to shopping experience.

Amazon Content:

  • Submit content updates to Amazon, including images, copy, and A+ content, following up on rejections and disputes when necessary.

Transcending Waves

I founded Transcending Waves in January 2017, where I created my first product, the Transcending Waves Planner — a daily goal journal designed using principles from positive psychology to promote productivity, gratitude, and overall well-being.

While building the brand, I developed responsive HTML email campaigns from scratch to support marketing automation and customer engagement initiatives. This hands-on experience gave me early exposure to email marketing platforms and CRM tools, including Salesforce, Shopify, Klaviyo, and Mailchimp, and laid the foundation for my career in email and marketing technology.

I grew Transcending Waves into a six-figure business by implementing and optimizing multi-channel marketing strategies, including email marketing, affiliate marketing, influencer partnerships, paid and organic social media, SEO, retail distribution, and Amazon FBA. I successfully sold the business in August 2019 to pursue a full-time career in web and email development.

Through this experience, I discovered my passion for web development and email engineering. I consistently found myself focused on optimizing website performance, UX, and conversion flows, and realized I wanted direct ownership over the technical execution rather than relying on third-party developers. This realization ultimately led me to specialize in HTML email development and Salesforce Marketing Cloud, where I now focus on building scalable, high-quality customer communications.
