Extensive project of analyzing eliminating investment and equity accounts of subsidiaries; I analyzed billions of dollars of transactions to determine accuracy of transactions and isolate relationships between parents and subsidiaries, and subsequently prepared journal entries and created reports to be used in tax restructuring decision-making. My work on this project led to an permanent job offer of Manager - Restructuring, Internal & Intercompany Reporting.
Oversaw the maintenance and updates of all executive financial reports, standard user financial analysis reports, and the Executive Key Performance Indicator Dashboard. I also ensured all financial data was in sync across applications (SAP 7.1, HFM, HP and Essbase) for reporting purposes. In addition, I was responsible for maintenance of metadata changes, chart of accounts, and calculations within HFM, HP, & Essbase. I trained Baker Hughes Finance & Accounting end users worldwide on utilization of HFM & Essbase, changes/updates to the applications, and resolve user questions/issues related to the applications.
Data Validation for the conversion from Hyperion Financial Management version 9 to HFM version 11; in-depth analysis of all the HFM dimensions to ensure the numerous mapping changes from multiple product lines down to one single product line are accurate, and meet conversion deadlines; I served as co-lead of the Hyperion Essbase conversion responsible for training and managing the daily responsibilities of several conversation project associates/employees; my accomplishments in this role lead to the job offer of Finance Manager - Reporting & Analytics from the client, Baker Hughes Incorporated.
I was specifically requested by the US Corporate Controller for Pride International to return to the company to work on a special project with a team of 4 to carve out assets/liabilities and produce all necessary SEC requirements (including registration statement) for an $85 million spin-off of their mat supported jack-up rig business in the Gulf of Mexico region. The spin-off was successfully completed 4 months ahead of schedule which exceeded stockholders’ expectations.
