Project Lead the Way Engineering Course Certifications in:
Reestablishing the Orange Engineering Design Academy as an honors track for students interested in engineering and technology.
Previously responsible for teaching Math 2, Career and College Ready Graduate (CCRG) Math, and providing math intervention for state tested courses.
Established a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta National Math Honor Society with 43 current members.
Responsible for all things technology:
Responsible for teaching various math courses based on the NC Standard Course of Study, most recently including Discrete Mathematics for Computer Science, Advanced Functions & Modeling, Career & College Ready Graduate Math, Math IV.
Have use the Canvas Learning Management System combined with Mobius Math Assessment Suite to provide a customized, feedback focused, learning experience for my students.
Additional responsibilities include:
Teach the leadership session with focus on: Passion, Personality, Communication, and Perseverance & appropriate use of social media in leadership
Responsible for the technology components of the institute including the website, social media accounts, and web-based application process.
The Research Experiences for Teachers (RET) in Engineering program supports the active involvement of high school teachers in engineering research in order to bring knowledge of engineering and technological innovation into their classrooms. Teachers involved in engineering research in Center laboratories translate their experiences into classroom activities.
Assisted with the preparation, setup, and research conducted by the Virginia Commonwealth University Reanimation Engineering Science Institute (VCURES). Research included shock, decompression sickness, and cardiac critical care methods.
Co-taught multiple sections of the Engineering with Excel course including advanced spreadsheets, Visual Basic, creation of forms, & importing and exporting data.
