Spearheaded opportunities to integrate & develop continuous process improvement, reduces workmanship issues and failure. Inspired situational leadership to galvanize and motivate team on work & changes in factory and organization.
• Strategies team to increase yield significantly by +3% (amounting to USD $80K cost saving) per quarter thru effective control monitoring and corrective actions.
• Key lead in long term planning for scrap cost reduction with Managing Director, achieving $400K per quarter by reducing fallout and component salvaging.
• Launched solution to reduce looping of failure parts via cluster stations fall-out, improved over-scrap cost by USD $100K.
• Led the concept development of LEAN manufacturing by combining processes to improve efficiency and utilization.
• Employ data analysis (Excel pivot, JMP, Minitab, 6 sigma) to improve bottom-line and convince execution.

Senior & Staff Engineer

Pioneering Asia factory (Malaysia & Thailand) manufacturing system (IT) revolution, migrate from manual control to system-based tracking. Architecting engineering initiative to solve excursions and improve productivity. Focused on system development, create & execute testing guidelines/environment for new system release.
• Lead project to perform on-the-fly data merging from different countries using specific scanning procedure, eliminating costly OCR (optical code reader) & reduces data migration. Cost saving by USD $500K.
• Implemented the first intelligent test package loading for Asia factory, system will automatically choose and load correct test package from over 1000 test packages, hence reduces human error and cycle time.
• Architect and introduced revolutionary IT module that allows user to create ad-hoc IT business rules, reducing IT development time and pacifying excursions. A very flexible system that is self-sustained and being used since 2013 to date.
• Resolved factory scrap inaccuracy by implementing real-time scrap traceability, allowing greater control on scrap management. Implemented area became the most accurately tracked components for Finance department, helps improve cost planning.
• Introduced automated SPC (Statistical Process Control) triggering system based on 3 sigma that detects high fallout, stop problematic machine and prompt technicians to attend and solve. Helps to achieve KPI targets. Overall yield improved 1% during initial launch.
• Co-invented revolutionary Hard Disk fixture to improve cost and productivity by creating parent & child fixture while allowing multiple setup angle. Awarded U.S Patent design #8,811,135 for this invention.

• Key person for Asia QST (Quasi Static Tester) development, accelerate product from early prototype to pre-HVM (high volume manufacturing) performance buy-off.
• Define and characterize new product electrical test coverage and spec optimization. Making sure product is capable to run HVM without major yield or productivity loss.
