As an operations, administration, community and program development professional in the field of recreation with 25 years of experience, I have a proven track record as a recreation administrator.  My leadership roles, have provided me the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with members of diverse communities from the north to the south sides of Chicago.  I have also established a collaborative relationship with elected officials, including Aldermen from 19 wards.

My phylosophy of positive mentorship is directly related to my management style, which couples democratic and coaching methods to direct my team. 

Professional Highlights

  • Launched training's for over 1000 city-wide staff in positive youth development methods as Citywide Chairperson for Youth Program Quality Initiative
  • Hosted Chicago Park District Night Out in the Parks, which served over 381,000 patrons in outdoor special event programming to date

Chicago Park District

South Regional Director

  • Oversee complete operation of 181 facilities, including, 200 baseball diamonds, 24 fitness centers, 17 outdoor pools, 14 indoor pools, 7 cultural centers, 6 woodshops, 5 beaches, 5 lagoons, 5 boxing centers, 5 ice rinks, 3 gold courses, 3 little league stadiums, 2 gymnastics centers, 2 fitness arcades, 2 art galleries, an archery range, an auto shop, and 1 teen fitness center with approximately 1065 employees during peak season
  • Prepare and administer $29 million regional operational budget yearly operating budget
  • Establish, network and maintain regular contact with outside organizations, community leaders and elected officials
  • Work closely with park advisory councils
  • Work with management staff to implement the mission of the Chicago Park District
