Notable Projects

  • GIS Graduate Capstone Project- This project involved using the U.S. Census American Community Survey data along with voting registration data from Chelan County, Washington from three past presidential primaries (2008, 2016, and 2020) in a multi-variate regression analysis.  The Geostatistical and Spatial Analysis toolset in ArcGIS Pro was used to determine which demographic categories of race, educational attainment, gender, age, poverty, and income correlated the highest with voting data from the three presidential primaries.
  • GIS analysis for a wildlife crossing over Interstate 90 in the Central Cascades Mountains- This project utilized the linear referencing tools within ArcGIS Pro in analyzing wildlife accident data from the Washington State Department of Transportation along a 84 mile stretch of Interstate 90.  The project also utilized data from the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife in establishing habitat corridors and a wildlife resistance map for deer and elk.
  • Site Analysis for a new Chemical Guys retail store and detail garage showroom in the Greater Puget Sound Region in Washington State-  This project looked at three different site locations for a new retail store by analyzing key demographic data from the U.S. Census such as Household Median Income, Median Age, and Educational Attainment in order to establish a trade buffer for each demographic category. The study also looked at three established competitor locations in order to determine a suitable location and primary trade buffer area.
  • Geodatabase Design for Guns & Roses Floral Shop and Armory in Brighton, Colorado- This project involved establishing a new geodatabase design by using an entity relationship diagram to identify relationships between each attribute table such as one to one, many to one, and many to many within ESRI ArcGIS Pro.
