With a proven leadership style fueled by creativity and innovation, I consistently demonstrate a proactive, results-oriented approach driven by an intense passion for my work. My career in the renewable sector spans fifteen years and straddles the development, design, analysis, and management of over 13GW of residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects across the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
My experience extends to challenging startup environments, where I utilised a flexible skill set and approach to aid numerous companies in developing their solar businesses. My training in diverse areas such as illustration and 2D/3D design, coupled with a solid passion for simplification and automation, resulting in faster turnarounds and cheaper solutions, further amplifies my ability to contribute significantly and uniquely to organisations.
Additionally, my commitment to elevating industry knowledge led me to train over 500 students and industry professionals in solar design and installation in Canada, thereby fostering the next generation of renewable energy specialists and professionals.

Previously (as Hampson Consulting / 2010 - 2024), I provided services across the residential and commercial markets in:
Actively involved in Ontario (2.5GW), Alberta (250MW), US (1GW), Europe (4MW), and Australia (1MW). As Hey Solar, I continue to also provide these expertise on solar photovoltaic and community energy projects to home and business owners across Canada.
Conducted preliminary analysis, design, modeling, and generating custom proposals utilising design software and customised calculator tools for around 1800 opportunities to date (~$60m).
Created, maintained, and update custom-built project trackers and financial calculators.
Developed KPI and forecasting tools to allow for team growth and address potential bottlenecks in the processes and supply chain before they happen keeping development downtimes to a minimum.
Built relationships with third parties and vendors such as LDCs, municipalities, engineers, distributors, and equipment manufacturers allowing for a smooth transition of project development, competitive equipment pricing, and obtaining permits and approvals.
Project coordination with team members and clients to provide up-to-date information and statuses on all active projects as well as coordinate with sales for all prospect projects.
Marketing strategy for both digital and non-digital strategies including content creation, planning, research, and coordinating with appropriate teams for proper planning and execution.
Coordination with third parties and manufacturers to better understand new and existing products to offer a wide variety of options to cater to any project outcome including training and product knowledge.
Experience in commercial, and utility-scale projects in Ontario (750MW), Alberta (125MW), US (250MW). International solar developer with offices globally. Responsible for North American developments from small commercial to multi-megawatt utility-scale projects.
Assisted the sales team in identifying potential clients.
Coordinated with external parties to provide up-to-date costs on project expenses.
Provided preliminary analysis both technical and financial to both Soventix and to client through design and creation of analytical tools.
Researched policies and connect with key personnel for market entry to provide market entry analysis for company expansion of operations.
Assisted Project Management Team with engineering, design, analytics, as well as administrative tasks.
Experience in commercial & utility-scale projects in Ontario (3GW), US (3GW), Japan (2.5GW). Working within the Business Development team to develop Grasshopper Solar's pipeline of commercial and utility scale solar projects in North America and Overseas with the goal of $1bn of assets by 2022.
Market analysis for potential new markets and where new legislation will affect market conditions in existing locations where GSC are present.
Technical design and production analysis for net-metering projects
Financial analysis of commercial and utility scale projects for business development due diligence in a variety of domestic and international markets.
Prepare RFPs and Investment Memos for potential projects to be funded.
Translation of documents to assist Origination, Operations, and Asset Management teams to complete their due diligence processes required for successful acquisition of projects.
Data collection, aggregation, forecasting, analysis and database maintenance of projects and provide reports for senior management and executive teams.
Project coordinator leading the residential market project team. Charged with taking all projects from confirmed sales, through to ready for construction. Duties included overseeing multiple teams, tasks, and working within the teams as well as supporting roles with other departments such as construction, customer service, finance, sales, project lead qualification, and legal.
Oversaw applications for over 3000 microFIT projects in Ontario's residential solar program, including submission of documentation to the IESO.
Assessed the quality of data to determine whether it is sufficient for design teams to use in their assessment of projects.
Utilised multiple techniques and resources to accurately design solar arrays for each project, and provides a technical and financial study to determine project suitability for Grasshopper's Guaranteed Funding Programs.
Coordinated the LDC team to apply for connection requests with each LDC in Ontario. Completing application forms to check for capacity in regions, and then to connect projects pre and post-installation.
Technical specialist and project manager in charge of developing 1,200 residential solar projects across Ontario, Canada.
Prepared progress reports for multi-phase projects used to track project-specific details and timing using multiple sources of information (clients, project, equipment, manufacturing, third parties, etc.)
Reviewed and assessed technical materials to assist in decision making, strategic partnerships and equipment procurement with suppliers.
Coordinated with third-party contractors prior to site visit and installation.
Responded to customer inquiries for residential solar development projects across Ontario.
Solar Academy International was a private training college providing professional training for students wanting to transition into the renewable sector. Out of the academy, we developed a network of students past and present and provided networking opportunities with established professionals and entities in the Ontario market.
