In the Skilled Nursing Facility setting, responsibilities included delivering face-to-face psychiatric services, assessing patients' mental status, diagnosing DSM-V disorders, developing and implementing treatment plans, and using medical decision-making skills for mental health management, including both pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. The role also involved collaborating with each community's interdisciplinary team during federally-mandated psychopharmacology meetings to assure all medications were prescribed appropriately, maintain compliance, and identify medications to deprescribe.

As an ostomy specialist I am responsible for management of the new ostomate's needs from the initial pre-surgical stoma marking to discharge. I provide intensive education, support, and expertise in the evaluation and care of complex stomas, as well as the management of fistulas and complex drainage sites.
