My professional career began in 2002 when I acquired extensive knowledge of IT. I specialize in cloud, networking, security, and IT architecting.

My expertise spans a broad spectrum of IT infrastructure solutions, including server hardware, storage, backup, networking, security, virtualization, containerization, and public and private cloud platforms.

My responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for Software Defined Networking (SDN).
  • Designed, advised, implemented, migrated, and tested technical solutions as a virtualization consultant/architect.

Contributed to the following projects/customers:

  • ING: Developed a VCF/VSAN design for a greenfield environment, and assisted with VMware NSX V2T migration preparation (±25K VMs).
  • Rijkswaterstaat: Developed a VMware NSX design for their PaaS cloudplatform and developed a security design for their IaaS cloudplatform (±7k VMs) including VMware NSX and CIsco ACI,
    Also executed a VMware NSX V2T migration.
  • Dutch Ministry of Defense: Developed a network design for a greenfield private cloud platform incl. VMware NSX and VMware vSphere.
  • Dutch Cancer Institute - Antoni van Leeuwenhoek (NKI-AVL): Developed a design for a greenfield private cloud platform, including networking, storage, security, computing, virtualization, virtual desktop infrastructure, and cloud management incl. HPE, VMware.
  • Haarlem municipality: Developed, and implemented a security design for their private cloud platform (VMware VCF incl. VMware NSX),  secured their application landscape (±450 VMs), executed a VMware NSX V2T migration, and executed vSphere and NSX upgrades.
  • KPN: Developed a VMware Design for their public cloud platform realizing improved service level KPIs and application-based security, including VMware NSX, VMware Site Recovery Manager, and VMware vRealize Automation.
  • TDC Group (Denmark): Developed, implemented, and tested a VMware NSX security design. Assisted with the migration to secure their application landscape (±15k VMs). Used solutions: VMConAWS, VMware NSX, VMware HCX, and VMware vRealize suite.
  • Trygg-Hansa (Scandinavië): As a lead-consultant i've designed, implemented, and tested a greenfield private cloud platform (VMware VCF), and executed a VMware VCF upgrade (4.1 > 5.1).
  • Vestas (Denmark): Advised on their security design for their brownfield environment, including SD-WAN and VMware NSX. 
  • Brocacef Group: Assessed their current managed cloud platform and advised on strategic and technical levels to enhance business-IT alignment.
  • CCV Payments: Developed, implemented and tested a private cloud platform, including VMware Validated Design (vSphere, VSAN, NSX and vRealize).
  • Efteling: Developed a network and security design for their brownfield environment, including VMware NSX.
  • Ingenico ePayments: Developed a network and security design for their brownfield environment, including VMware NSX.
  • Shared Service Center Syntrophos: Developed a VMware NSX Foundation and VMware NSX Security design for their greenfield private cloud platform.
