Currently leading Arcadia, an education consulting agency specializing in Digital Teaching and Learning (DTL), as the Owner and Principal Education Consultant. My consultation focus is on Digital Teaching and Learning Strategy  (including university online strategy, academic program portfolio strategy, competitive program differentiation, quality improvement, audience expansion,  etc.) and Instructional Design and Development (including discipline, program, course, media, user experience, and content design). I collaborate with academic institutions and corporate and non-profit partners worldwide to create modern learning experiences across various digital platforms and modalities (e.g., hybrid, blended, fully online, and face-to-face). My expertise extends to comprehensive involvement across the education lifecycle, including strategic planning, competitive analysis, strategic partnership identification, market research, curriculum design, course and media development, ghostwriting, student readiness training, faculty training, retention strategy, program/course revision, and quality assurance.

Recent Consultation Highlights:

  • Guided partners through the complete product development cycle, from strategic planning to implementation, including new audience identification, new product planning, curriculum and classroom design, media creation, and quality assurance.
  • Collaborated with six higher education institutions in Latin America to design and launch 10 inaugural fully online and hybrid academic programs and 42 certificates.
  • Designed and delivered blended and fully digital learning modalities for universities, colleges, and non-profits, including launching training courses, an LMS platform, and a community of practice for a non-profit in the U.S.
  • Led international collaborations with partners in the United States, UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, and Latin America, to develop and implement digital learning strategies.
  • Consults with Ed Tech, startups, game design companies, and growing businesses on higher education, online learning, and learning practices.

Ongoing strategic consultation on executing Digital Teaching and Learning growth strategies, building development teams, staffing, faculty training and development, process design and optimization, portfolio analysis, student support, technological infrastructure needs, space optimization, program selection, academic partnership opportunities, and long-range online, hybrid, and blended learning growth.

Consultation highlights:

  • Consulted with 12 Asia Pac institutions to increase DTL percentages from 0-10% in 2015 to 25% in 2019.  All 12 institutions reached the target before or by 2019 deadline.
  • Identified opportunities for academic partnerships between and among institutions to expand audience reach, academic portfolios, and student opportunities.
  • Advised and managed implementation of Blackboard LMS in 11 of 12 Asia Pac institutions with industry partners.
  • Collaborated on new product/business design to expand audience and international markets for Asia Pac institutions, including Australia and India.
  • Advised on process design optimization and training needs to achieve efficiencies for regional development centers across the network.

  • Consulted in 2015 with AMEA and European institutions to establish a digital teaching and learning plan to achieve 25% hybridity by 2019. 
  • Consulted on and implemented staffing of development teams, staff and faculty training, process development, and growth timelines
  • Consulted on implementation of Blackboard LMS technology.
  • Consulted on academic portfolio selection for DTL efforts.  
  • Implemented a new global teaching model between institutions in India and the U.S. and one in Italy, respectively.
  • Organized first international Hybrid, Blended, and Online conference (HBOCon) for developers, designers, faculty, and staff--220 attendees from 25 countries, representing 35 of our Network institutions; over 70 unique presentations delivered, and a digital HBOToolkit launched.
