Monthly Management Reporting (Including: developing and reporting on KPI measures, valuing and monitoring the success of business improvement projects(e.g. Fuel conservation initiatives), working on business cases for the purchase of new assets)

Month End Processing (Including: Accrual calculation, variance analysis and Balance Sheet reconciliations)

Achievements: Analysis I did result in a significant review in the number of cabin crew employed resulting in a material cost saving for the company.

Duties: Financial modelling (Including interest modelling, targeted rates modelling etc)

Financial Forecasting (Forecasting full monthly financial statements for the next year in detail, setting budgets based on these forecasts and forecasting full financial statements for 10 years in less detail)

Preparation of the LTCCP (Council 10-year strategic plan for external reporting, produced 10 year financials, funding reports and revenue and financing tables)

Liaise with Audit New Zealand (Establish expectations due to legislative change and answer queries)

Coordinate the input of planning data

Scenario Analysis (For instance, analysing the effect of changing the council's debt funding policy on rates under a variety of conditions and making recommendations)

Achievements: Was part to the team that changed the LTCCP to include inflation. This involved a complete rewrite of the model in order comply with changing legislation.
