A graduate from Lasalle College of the Arts, Ernest Foo attained his Bachelor of Music (Hons) majoring in Electronic Music with a key focus in music production and sound design.
Coming from a business background with a diploma in business administration, he decided for a change in career path to pursue what he is truly passionate about. He has since performed in countless venues as a professional guitarist sessioning for acts like Krysta Joy and Sophia Kao. He is also in the local indie rock act, Bakers In Space, who have played in prominent music festivals such as Baybeats, Ignite, Local Motion, Hipster Fest and much more.
Ernest's passion for music expanded upon his entry into Lasalle. He found his calling in music production and audio engineering, and has since been the recording/mixing engineer for acts like Cold Cut Quartet, Aya Sekine, Mark Francisco, Cravism, and Michael Bolton (for a singing competition held in Asia).
He is currently working on his own production, "Modular House Productions", where he aims to promote the music scene in Singapore through various initiatives like "The Modular House Show" where 2 seasons worth of content have already been aired on Youtube. He is also currently the sole audio post production engineer under XPS (External Production Services) at The Star Performing Arts Centre.
Ernest also dabbles in the art of sound design and visual programming. In 2018/2019, he showcased his work titled "Potion", which is an 8 step sequencer/synthesizer made out of reused cardboard materials. Under Meshminds, his work was exhibited at the Arts Science Museum under the banner 'Art x Tech for Good'. Ernest's music had also been featured in films such as "Hiding Birds" and "Farah" under directors Danica Pablo and Pavithran Nathan respectively.
