Senior Research Associate

  • Currently working with Marga Institute as a Senior Research Associate leading the research initiatives at the organization. 
  • Working with over 14 Civil Society Organizations, 3 International Institutions and 5 donors. 

Project Data Associate

  • Worked as Project Data Associate for the UNDP Inclusive Governance Team in Sri Lanka 
  • Mainly focused on data driven interventions supporting peacebuilding, social cohesion, youth empowerment and partnerships engagement
  • Responsibilities were to identify data driven interventions on peacebuilding, social cohesion and countering violent extremism (CVE) in Sri Lanka.
  • Developed knowledge products on CVE with the aim of spreading awareness on key social issues in Sri Lanka
  • Worked closely with 20 civil society organization in different districts providing them with financial and administrative support
  • Carried out the role of a training facilitator for a period of 15 months for a youth leadership programme

Research Associate

  • Completed exhaustive research into chronic diseases in Sri Lanka using physical records.  
  • Job role focused on using data for data storytelling and forecasting trends and patterns. 
  • Conducted field visits and met people in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka to understand and observe people's perception and behavior
  • Conducted PRA's, focus group discussions and interview based questionnaires at various government institutions. 

Management Assistant

  • Main responsibilities were planning and organizing the Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education (CTHE) programme for academics in KDU.  
  • Developed a concept note with the support of the supervisor to streamline the CTHE programme under the SDG goal 4 target 4.3 and 4.4
  • Provided insights to streamline activities using digital tools during COVID-19 pandemic 

Trainee Operations Analyst

  • Completed the role as a medical claims checker in the collection team
  • Main responsibilities was to ensure datasets were organized and presentable to understand the key trends and flow of information
  • Submitted medical claims on a weekly based target into clinical data management system (CDMS)

Data Entry Analyst

  • Data entry analyst and communications office at EILS, the main job role was to identify suitable candidates for life skills training by carrying out an telephone administered interview.
  • Developed a common database for entry and tracking on participants where over 1000 community members in the Eastern Province were provided with training opportunities. 

Student Research Assistant

  • Mentored students through one-on-one meetings.
  • Analyzed statistical data using both modern and traditional methods.
  • Evaluated potential subject participants to assess suitability for planned studies.
  • Conducted research for proposals and assessed potential impact.
