Hula Investments is a property rental business focused on HMO's and affordable housing. 

I took over this business as "caretaker" Managing Director following the founders terminal diagnosis to implement change management in preparation for his passing.

Reviewed servicing and maintenance contracts and reduced costs by 27%.

Implemented direct contact between tenants and maintenance teams to reduce in house resource usage.

Increased rental fee's and introduced scheduled pro-active annual rate rises.

Navigated the administrative transfer of the business to existing silent partner

Open Pass is an all-in-one SaaS solution for selling and redeeming multi-attraction passes, tickets and tours.

  • Broke company sales record with a personal GP of £250,000 and a GB of over £500,000 in second month with the company.
  • Promoted from Sales Consultant to Sales Manager, to Internal Sales Director and finally Regional Director.
  • Direct line management of 30 sales staff including 2 sales managers.
  • Responsible for an overall regional sales target of £1.5 million GP per month. 
  • Set up Getaways travel vertical, from scratch, to a fully fledged international sales operation that now yields in excess of £12million per year. 
  • Development and presentation of training programs to both internal and external national sales teams.
  •  Directed cost saving organisational restructure

  • Consistent target achievement in regional sales role.
  • Promoted from Sales executive to National Business Development manager due to high level of success in new business arena.
  • Selected out of 600 applicants for the 'Dairy Crest Fast Track Managerial Program'. This involved twelve months onsite and offsite training.
  • Managed supply to 27 local councils and their respective f&b departments as well as several other large national clients.

150 cover a La Carte restaurant with al fresco dining space in rural Worcester. I was brought on board to develop a commercial sales and marketing strategy

  • Served as general manager for two years with the objective of developing and increasing revenue streams.
  • Management and day-to-day running of the restaurant. This included stocktaking, recruitment, menu design, staff rotation and all other aspects of the general manager role.
  • Invested in several new marketing avenues increasing our gross revenue by 18% in the first six months of taking over.
  • Re-negotiated all supply agreements including utilities bringing net costs down by 11%.
  • Introduced two new revenue streams, wedding hire and outside catering.
  • Business was sold in 2005 at a substantial profit.
