Olle Stål, Professor
I have known Gizeh since she came to my research team in Linköping and started as a PhD candidate in 2000. The period of her PhD studies was amazing for me and other coworkers thanks to Gizeh's entusiasm, many ideas and great skills. Her work resulted in a very good thesis focusing on the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. After her stay as a postdoc at the Sanford-Burnham Medical Research Institute, San Diego, CA, I have had the pleasure and honour of continued good cooperation. As a supervisor of undergraduate students and PhD candidates in my group she is very supportive. She is passionate about research and has a great ability to encourage others, and finding solutions when facing problems. With her many laboratory skills, her great concern and enthusiasm, Gizeh will be very valuable wherever she will find her place to work.
