    Currently working in GDS as an Executive Assistant to the Head of GOV.UK, I have developed a key interest in digital transformation of government services.     Government Digital Service
    • Diary Management:  Taking ownership of Head of GOV.UK's diary and inbox; prioritising emails, ensuring the diary is up to date and looking to implement solutions to help save time. Providing briefings where necessary.
    • Organising Senior Management meetings:  Taking minutes in weekly SMT meetings and following-up on actions, setting the agenda and applying new strategies to improve the meetings.
    • Logistics: Proactively managing logistics of meetings, visits and away days by ensuring travel, accommodation and meeting rooms are booked in advance. 
    • Communication: Developing a strong rapport with other departments through effectively liaising with fellow assistants. Implementing new ways to improve communications internally. 
    • Writing official blog posts: Taking full ownership of managing and improving the 'What We're Working On' fortnightly blog post. By gathering content from delivery and product managers, attending stand ups, conducting surveys, gaining writing style training and implementing a set routine for drafting and publishing.

    • Data Input and Analysis: Using specialist data programs to input and update patient data. Using CAMiS program to analyse patient information.  
    • Admin Duties: Filing, Photocopying and organising doctors notes in various patients health records amongst other ad hoc work.
    • Communication: Communicating with colleagues to meet set group targets, coordinating with external staff during deliveries, stock handling, and answering phone enquires.

    • Writing Reports: Recording Data using Excel, analysing trends and conducting in depth analysis on various issues including constituent feedback on the local NHS.
    • Leafleting and Canvassing: Distributing Labour Party publications locally, and speaking to constituents about issues of concern in the area through door to door canvassing.
    • Organising Events: Supporting the MP and local councillors hold local events in the community, helping with media exposure, setting up the venues and liaising with those involved.
    • Leadership: Providing leadership to volunteers of the campaign, by giving instructions on what to do, and organising the work load. I was put in sole charge of the Heston East ward of the constituency, which meant I had to co-ordinate the short campaign in the area.

    • Undertaking Due Diligence: Drafting due diligence reports and undertaking risk assessments.
    • Communication: Liaising with members, maintaining professional boundaries in all interactions and alerting staff to any issues of concern about members.

    • Administrative  Duties:  Improved  efficiency  of  daily  operations  through  data  entry  into appointment books, receiving phone calls and scheduling timetables.
    • Presentation: Attracted customers through high levels of customer service and interaction, thus maintaining a good public image of the camp.

    • Research: Contributed towards political research using Hansard, and web based research.
    • Used Contact Creator and Case Worker programs for constituency casework.
    • Communication: Drafted formal e-mail replies to ministerial invitations and answered high profile client phone calls, thus becoming key to the communication between my employer and her colleagues.
    • Shadowing MP: Shadowed MP meetings and kept notes of various interactions with NGO’s. 



    I am fluent in writing, reading and speaking English and Gujarati. And I can also speak fluently in Hindi.

    I.T. Skills

    I am confident in the use of Microsoft Office as I have good skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Database, Publisher and Access.

    Responsibilities and Interests

    Treasurer for University of Leicester Labour Society- I was in charge of handling money, signing all forms for payments, money requests and orders keeping. I also kept the Committee informed of the Society's financial position, budgeting for the year and working with the President and Secretary to seek fundraising, resources and speakers on time and on budget.

    Campaigning and Communications Officer for Gig Night on Campus- I helped organise a gig night in aid of Child Refugees in Syria. My role consisted of fundraising on campus, helping with social media exposure of the event through organising group events on Facebook, sending bulk mail though our online student network and using Twitter to create exposure.


    Duke of Edinburgh Silver Award- Gained key team building skills; negotiating with team members to meet shared targets in a highly volatile environment.

    Party Conference Steward- Worked with G4S security staff to ensure all the right measures were taken to negate any risks and allow for the smooth running of the conference.
