Senior Test Engineer - Night Shift Engineering Supervisor

A Senior Engineer remotely responsible for global testing teams in Australia, South Africa, New Jersey, and Las Vegas. is expected to be proficient on a wide range of products and experienced in constructing “what if” testing analysis on any products using general principles.  Senior Engineers are expected to take on the new and more challenging technologies that are submitted, understand and document such, and perform tests on the product.  An Engineer reaches this level after they have demonstrated technical knowledge and competency of testing devices from two or more manufacturers.  Managed a team of 10 to 20 test engineers and worked with the clients, technical managers, and the jurisdictional regulatory bodies directly. (Lateral move to Day shift 2017 - Present).

A Night Shift Engineering Supervisor is expected to manage and train 20 to 27 test engineers on testing various slots and gaming devices. Assign and manage the team's workload by working with various day shift technical manages. Reported all found testing issues to the client and if needed to the regulatory body in order to conduct a full investigation of these findings. Additionally, provided project status reports the Engineering Director.  Created Automation tools improve the quality of testing which led to the creation of GLI's Automation Department. (Promoted/relocated from New Jersey to Nevada to  the Night shift from 2014 - 2017).

Technical Compliance Engineer II

A Technical Compliance Engineer II provide assistance, guidance, customer service, and maintain a leadership role to all Level I Compliance Engineers and Engineering staff. Provide customer service and technical assistance by assisting gaming  board regulators and gaming equipment manufacturers. Perform evaluations of the submitted product in test of issue that escalated to the Compliance by Engineering regarding possible non-compliant issue found during testing in order to provide a final determination of severity. Evaluated changes on Gaming Technical Standards from various jurisdictional regulatory bodies and perform provide rule clarifications.)  Conduct research and evaluate for any new technology, concepts, and/or introduction of new features, devices, or hardware components that may pose regulatory concerns and possible modifications that may impact newly submitted or previously approved product versions. Communicate with test engineers and attend demonstrations of various products submitted to Compliance for review of functionality in order to provide final determinations from a Compliance standpoint that resulted from the evaluation.

A Technical Engineer II created test procedures and policies in regards to evaluating gaming equipment.  Knowledgeable in C, C++, and Assembly programming languages. Understand RNG code flows and how to gather RNG data required to perform testing for multiple platforms. Provided guidance to Test Engineers I/II, reported testing file status to Technical Manager and/or Manufacturer, and reviewed outgoing submissions prior to the file's release to Quality Assurance. Performed problem solving and troubleshooting skills on a daily basis.
