Provided startup funding and advice for former members of my company Quality Guarantee now Trust Health,  operates inpatient, outpatient, residential and other behavioral and substance abuse services. My role is as an investor, board member and adviser and not involved in the day to day operations.

Developing social and human services and fund development in Ukraine, Russia, Bosnia, Serbia, Africa, Mexico, Israel, and Houston, TX. Re-structured and grew board, increased revenues, re-engineered operating systems and hired a full-time paid CEO. Reason for leaving: Accomplished goals, no longer wished to travel extensively internationally, remain involved in with organization as advisor.



Oasis Medical Campus

Developed 36 acre medical campus from land acquisition to occupancy stabilization of senior housing (CCRC), medical office buildings, hospitals, and specialty clinics, home health and hospice services, with a final project being completed in excess of a 900 million dollar budget. Sold my holdings in 2010 after completion/revenue stabilization and retreated to full-time volunteer, humanitarian.



Quality Guarantee, LLC

Provide consultation to behavioral healthcare, hospice, senior living, hospitality companies and social/human service organizations as to improve their overall operational and financial performance by building efficiencies, reducing turn-over, improving and diversification of service lines. Started Business from own personal savings and grew to a budget of $800M. Sold Business in 2009.



Park Place Retirement Communities/Adult Care Management (QG,Inc)
  • Promoted from the operations position to be fully responsible for continued growth of the company offering Home Health, Hospice, CCRC and Assisted Living Services/Memory Care following a significant positive financial performance as the Director of Operations. Positioned company for successful sale in September of 2005 after having achieved an average occupancy of 98% for 3 years company-wide resulting in selling the company for 12 times earnings.
  • Re-engineered entire operations - company financially prepared for growth/position for sale - best financial performance ever (company 30 years old).
  • Developed new business strategy/diversified product.
  • Awarded Peak Performance Award by the Tampa Bay Association of Business Executives for outstanding business growth.

  • Began as  Executive Director and quickly moved in to Corporate Director of Operations
  • Responsible for the overall performance of a regional multi facility company, located in Texas and Florida, offering services ranging from independent living to skilled.
  • Report directly to the owner.
  • Responsible for the supervision of regional directors/exec. dir.
  • Responsible for building efficiencies, developing new start opportunities and assisting with mergers and acquisitions.
  • Developed Administrator -in-training (AIT) system and created additional revenue streams to support this “bench” building venture.
  • Improved net revenues bringing company to a position of profit in first 11 months of employment following five years of losses.
  • Developed third party service contracts that allowed service and product expansion with increased revenues and NOI improvement resulting in increased net revenues by 220%.
  • Reduced management turnover by 100%.
  • Increased census by an average of 1004 resident days per day for entire year over previous year.
  • Developed new ancillary product lines , 10% net revenue increase.

Vendell Healthcare Corporation

Responsible for Corporate Business Development, Service Expansion, acquisitions and national supervision of New Service Development for multiple hospitals and clinics.

  • Developed specialized niche services resulting in increased net profits by $96M.
  • Negotiated the acquisition of private practices resulting in increased net revenues of $6M.
  • Supervised hospital operations of 12 free standing hospitals resulting in regulatory and financial turn-around with resultant improved net revenues of $45M.

Responsible for overall leadership and management of hospital operations

  • Increased average daily census by improving census operations from a 130k per month loss to a 2M net profit at the end of first 12 months.
  • Decreased operational costs by 18%.
  • AR days decreased from 67 to 23.
  • Developed successful partnerships with licensed independent practitioners.
  • Assisted hospital in overcoming regulatory, funding and licensing issues.
  • Achieved JCAHO accreditation with Commendation following earlier threat from JCAHO of decertification (see- consultant below).

USA Rapha, Inc., Behavioral Health Services

Chief Operating Officer

800 + beds (psychiatric/substance abuse). Responsible for total operations and expansion of this corporation. This entity had net revenues in excess of $100 million after three years of operation. Largest provider of inpatient Christian psychiatric and substance abuse treatment in the United States. Responsible for supervision of 49 management contracts in 18 states.

  • Successfully negotiated 46 of the 49 hospital contracts (three were in existence when I started with the company).
  • Successfully opened 12 outpatient clinics.
  • Increased average daily census resulting in $90M annual net revenue increase.
  • Developed regional management team.
  • Began with the company when we had three facilities and grew to 49 facilities in 18 states.
  • Responsible for development of national marketing team and supervision of such.
  • Negotiated high profile sponsorships of three hospitals that carried the high-profile person’s name (Pat Boone Recovery Center in Van Nuys, CA; Dan Reeves Recovery Center in Colorado Springs; Tom Landry Recovery Center in Plano, TX).
  • Developed professional/national referral strategy with other very high profile national leaders.
  • National marketing team, and four regional operational directors were my direct reports.
  • Established effective employee incentive and accountability systems.
