I am a passionate foodie looking to pursue a career in sales and account management within the food and drinks industry. I believe that my strong communication, organisational skills and determination combined with my experience firstly in marketing communications and more recently in the food and drink industry give me a strong basis on which to be successful in a sales and marketing role.

I have a strong understanding of business and managing relationships and I am looking to further develop those skills by studying a BA (Honours) Business Management Degree through the Open University in my spare time.

Whilst searching for the right job I have been working in various freelance positions as an events barista, barista for a London based coffee shop and as a consultant for an expanding juice bar/coffee concept.

I joined this  family business started by my father and uncle in late 2011. In my role as General Manager I was responsible for the day-to-day operation of the business including staff management, opening and closing, training and general on-site management. I was also responsible for marketing, procurement of products for the delicatessen, reporting on a weekly basis to the founders, general business administration and working with the in-store managers.  In February 2014 the company opened it's 2nd store which was also under my remit. In April 2015 the company sold it's 2 stores to an already established chain of coffee shops and the business is continuing online in several formats. I left at the end of April to pursue my career in the food and drink trade. The 2 shops have been sold as ongoing concerns.

I joined Photo-Me International Plc in April 2011. My role was a newly created vacancy which focused on communications both internally and externally. I was responsible for a range of areas within the marketing department, reporting directly to the Head of Global Marketing and the Chief Operating Officer. As well as being responsible for all non financial PR and a wide range of marketing activities, I also supported other departments such as our new business team with presentations, bid tenders and direct marketing. This role was split 50/50 between B2C and B2B.

I also increased my portfolio by winning over £180,000 worth of business through both existing and new clients in a 6 month period.

I am currently studying and working towards a BA Honours Degree in Business Management with a specialism focus in marketing. This degree is through the Open University and will be studied in my spare time. I am self funding this course and it is part-time so will not affect any work commitments.
