Survey and design roadways. Survey and design slope stabilization methods for unstable roadway slopes. Decommission roadways.

The civil engineering technologist is involved in the design and construction of buildings, bridges, highways, streets, parks, subdivisions, dams, drainage and irrigation systems, water supply and sewer systems, and plants. 

Safety codes officers, or SCOs, inspect the construction, installation, operation, and maintenance of structures and systems to ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
