• Over 10 years’ experience in Media, Transmission, and Engineering utilizing the Dalet MAM system.
• Built Spectrum News 1 Dalet system while maintaining functioning RSN/Hawaii Dalet system.
• Engineering lead for overall infrastructure design and implementation for SN1/LA Times partnership.

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all equipment associated with broadcast operations, distribution, and production activities. Provides technical support during productions and live events. Provides hands on engineering support including evaluation and resolution of technical issues affecting software and filebased systems. Responsible for the technical operation of transmission systems, event backhauls and coordination as well as feed records. Performs setup and operation of the transmission facility in accordance with in-house technical standards as well as the technical limits as defined by EIA RS-170A/ SMPTE 274M/SMPTE 292M guidelines and FCC RF guidelines. High volume, high-pressure environment requires coordinating multiple feeds simultaneously. Executes and coordinates inbound fiber and satellite transmission feeds to include Standard Definition, High Definition, MPEG2 and MPEG4. Communicates/coordinates with remote SNG and production vehicles, satellite NOC/TOC’s, in-house staff, and third party clients on transmission related technical items and feed status. Evaluates and resolves transmission related technical issues. Sets up all communications (both intercom and IFBs) for all remotes. Operates Adtec/Cisco/Ericsson/Tandberg transmission equipment, as well as The SWITCH routing terminal for bi-directional transmission. Performs routing on Evertz High Definition routing systems. Evaluates Standard and High Definition satellite/fiber signals using spectrum analyzers, file analyzers, waveform monitors and vector scopes. Performs all required recordings using DALET Media Management systems and KiPro machines, executes all required audio and video routing, adjusts standards, up, down, and cross-converters, and sets up all Evertz frame syncs. Maintains logs and feed information. Monitors and maintain outbound distribution feeds.

Personally coordinated and supervised training of a battalion-level Iraqi Army Intelligence Section in information collection, processing, analysis and intelligence production and dissemination, along with fundamental computer skills.
