The Elder Justice Coordinating Council, created by the Older Americans Act, seeks to preserve the rights of and secure protection for older people. The Council, co-chaired by the Secretary of Health and Human Services and the Attorney General of the United States, is comprised of members from federal departments, agencies, and other government entities identified as administering prevention programs on abuse, neglect, or financial exploitation.

National HIV/AIDS campaign tells citizens to "Take control of their health and life! Get Test for HIV!”

National HIV Testing Mobilization Campaign | Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Diseases Policy, Office of the Assistant Secretary, US Department of Health and Human Services | September 2006 - September 2009.

The National HIV/AIDS Community Mobilization Campaign was designed to promote HIV testing and the use of rapid HIV testing technologies. Crossing multiple disciplines and sectors of interest, the campaign design applied a variety of mediums and venues to promote DHHS policies and programs related to HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment.

HIV/AIDS in Africa: What works? | Center for Global Development & John Snow -International | January 2003.

HIV/AIDS in Africa: What Works to highlighted successful strategies in response to the growing HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa. The conference provided evidence of successful programs currently being implemented and countered the perception that nothing can be done in the face of daunting circumstances. It identified key factors common to most success stories, which could help expand these successes into national and regional responses to the epidemic. The success factors identified in the conference became integral components of President Bush's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief that was signed into law in 2003.

Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics & Science Teaching | National Science Foundation on behalf of the White House | May 1-6, 2006.

The National Science Foundation acting on behalf of the White House, conducted a search for the best science and math teachers in the United States, then assemble the selected teachers in Washington, DC to honor their achievements with a week-long series of cultural, education, and entertainment events, including meeting with the President, participation in a documentary premiere, and a formal dinner at the State Department that was followed by an awards ceremony at the National History Museum.
