    Notable Projects

Design and implementation of data centers in North America and Europe for a popular entertainment company. The data centers included highly-scalable and highly-available layer 2 and layer 3 services for thousands of virtual hosts, each with thousands of virtual guests. The design incorporated multiple best-of-breed vendors to create a highly-redundant layer 2/3 network with multiple Internet BGP peers.

Design and hands-on implementation of primary and secondary data centers for an energy exploration and production company. The design provided a resilient layer 2 network with at least three redundant paths for site-to-site connectivity. VLAN extension technology was used to stretch the layer 2 network across sites, providing for ease of migration for recovery purposes.

Design, implementation, and migration of a Fortune 100 energy transportation, storage, and marketing company. The design included a full-scale migration of the corporate data center to a colocation facility, as well as development of a disaster recovery migration strategy using virtualization and VLAN extension to simplify the process.

Design, ground-up implementation, and migration of a global developer of power, natural gas, and energy services. Performed a full migration of the corporate data center to a new colocation facility. Thousands of virtual machines were transferred live without downtime. The design included the utilization of dark fiber to provide multiple links, including 10Gb Ethernet and 8Gb fiber channel.
