My focus this year has been:

• Analyzing student data (NWEA, Reading Comprehension, Spelling Inventory, ISTEP,  Formative Assessments)
• Classroom Strategies
• Professional Development: NWEA, iLEARN, Rocket Math, Guided Reading
• Assisting with discipline

• Serving on committees (RTI, Family Committee, PBIS, and SIT)

•  I have 18 years  of experience working with low socio-economic families.

Traveled to five different sites in Richmond to meet in small groups with students to provide direct instruction on phonics skills, reading and comprehension activities. 

Coaching teachers to enhance their teaching and to help them grow professionally. Creating schedules to meet with teachers, assisting and leading professional development for teachers, created a school data wall,  creating RTI (Response to Intervention)  document in EXCEL and setting up meetings with our RTI team to meet with teachers.  Leading school committees, assisting with walk-throughs, created a school data folder.Presented professional development based on data and teacher/school needs .

Visiting sites in Richmond, lesson planning, and giving direct instruction in reading skills to third grade students.

Began my elementary teaching career teaching fourth grade for several years, then to teaching Kindergarten for eight years, and third grade for two years. Responsibilities included lesson planning, tracking student data, and standards focused. My teaching experience were in grades:

• Kindergarten
• Third Grade
• Fourth Grade

Enrolled in the Principal's Program at IWU in Marion, IN, 

I have a Bachelor's of Science in Education with an Early Childhood Endorsement.
