Skylight is a placemaking and venue development firm for unique and significant real estate. As the SF Project Manager, I oversee the management and growth of Skylight Studio's venue activation and on-site operations, consult on real estate interim use and placemaking strategy, and facilitate event operations at otherwise inaccessible real estate for Fortune 500 brand clients. 

Venue Management 

    • Event clients include: AMEX, Hermes, Hulu, CNN, Goldman Sachs, One Medical, Google, Nerdwallet, Twitch, and more
    • Oversee venue prospecting and onboarding, on-site live event operations, marketing, sales, and CRM across Skylight's San Francisco portfolio. Current active portfolio includes:
      • San Francisco Ferry Building
      • San Francisco Armory
      • 555 California St.

      • Hudson Ranch Vineyard (Napa)

    • Develop operating and sales manuals and train new hires on best practices for San Francisco venues
    • Mediate event client and real estate developer negotiations to all parties' satisfaction while remaining in compliance with fire and zoning  code
    • Write and review venue contracts, coordinate vendor and client COI's, and review floorplans for developer and FD/DBI regulatory compliance nationally

        • Land use and footprint revenue identification
        • Daily/Monthly/Yearly programmatic calendars and concepts 
    • Develop revenue and cost projections, go-to-market strategy, and infrastructure recommendations for pre-entitlement, post-entitlement, and pre-lease real estate projects
    • Build, manage, and monetize a portfolio of industry partners resulting in passive, accessory revenue streams worth $250K annually

The NWBLK is an applied arts gallery housed in an 18,000 sqft indoor/outdoor industrial space that moonlights as a top-tier venue for launches, activations, celebrations, and experience crafting.  

  • Negotiated and closed contracts worth an average of $25K.
  • Clients include  Google, Apple, Sherpa Capital, Sequoia Capital, Andreesen Horowitz, Uber, Acura, Lyft, MartiniBird, Robert Fountain and more.
  • Led venue rentals business unit operating in a multi-industry company.
  • Supported producers by reviewing floorplans for feasibility and regulatory compliance for 18,000 sqft. indoor/outdoor venue.
  • Re-negotiated vendor contracts resulting in a 10% increase in vendor commissions.
  • Managed vendors including Stag Dining, Betty Zlatchin, Paula LeDuc, Impact Lighting, Got Light, Bright Rentals, Hensley Event Resources, and more.
  • Hired and led a team of contractors and created structure for contracting, payment, and expense tracking.
  • Coordinated SFFD permitting and cultivated relationships within the department to ease restrictions and increase rental value.
  • Managed venue needs from setup through cleanup for every event with an all-hands, team-based approach, reducing overhead by a minimum of $2,500 per event.
