Jessa Hurley is an Emmy award-winning storyteller and community-builder excelling at content direction, with in-depth expertise in compelling media, powerful editorial content and authentic marketing strategies.

Using best practices and her collaborative spirit, Jessa leads teams in the creation of content for online educational journeys, websites, events, blogs, social media, books, audiobooks and broadcasts. Prior to moving to California, Jessa grew up in the Oregon mountains in a subterranean house—similar to a Hobbit or rabbit dwelling.

Compassion Institute — Developing marketing strategies, campaigns and content for compassion-focused online courses developed at Stanford University and based on the latest psychology, neurology and contemplative science. Nonprofit founded by Thupten Jinpa, Ph.D, principal translator to H.H. the Dalai Lama for 35 years.

Tides (a philanthropic partner and non-profit accelerator) — Supervised content that highlights collaborative COVID-19 relief and healthy democracy efforts. Produced humanity-centered videos that increased awareness of initiatives supporting healthy individuals, communities and the environment.

KQED (NPR | PBS affiliate) — Implemented integrated marketing strategies and high-impact educational media programs for students and teachers; coordinated industry outreach events and conferences.

The Institute for Responsible Technology's 90 Day Lifestyle Upgrade online program — Managed, edited and wrote educational course materials on organics, behavior change and health conditions; course generated $200,000 during the two-week launch.
