    Freddie Mac operates in the secondary U.S. mortgage market and is a public government-sponsored enterprise(GSE) and is ranked No. 38 on the 2018 Fortune 500 list of the largest United States corporations by total revenue.

    Head of 70-person Corporate Services function, including 8 direct reports, responsible for long range planning and operation of the corporation’s physical facilities (roughly 2.5 MM rentable sf, 18 locations, 10 of them company owned) and related operations services. Was the single point of contact for design, construction, and real estate issues for Freddie Mac with the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), the government oversight organization which supervises GSEs. Selected accomplishments include:

    • Developed 5-year strategic occupancy plan to dispose of inefficient assets, consolidate resources and services, and acquire real estate properties to allow for expansion of McLean campus. The plan resulted in the acquisition of 152,000 rsf of new space, and the disposition of four obsolete properties in Northern Virginia totaling 146,000 rsf.
    • Managed the identification, solicitation, and qualifications of critical-to-quality corporate service providers (i.e. brokerage, project/construction management, architecture, systems furniture) in 60-day time frame to support implementation of Northern Virginia Real Estate Strategy for Freddie Mac.
    • Managed and oversaw the implementation of a Workplace Performance survey distributed to more than 5,000 employees across 13 divisions to assess workplace functionality, engagement, productivity, and effectiveness.

    • Provided Facilities Management, Operations, and Strategy support to the Federal National Mortgage Association (Fannie Mae) for multiple projects including build to suit projects in Plano, TX (350K rsf), Washington DC (752k rsf),
    • Led strategy and operations for Fannie Mae tenant improvement projects Chicago (9k rsf), Los Angeles (6k rsf), and Philadelphia (6k rsf).

    Founded in the UK in 1855, Savills is one of the world's leading real estate service providers. Savills expanded its US presence with the acquisition of tenant representation specialist Studley Inc, with a network of 25 offices across the US.

    Responsible for the design and development of innovative consulting and project management services for the firm’s national account clients. Managed national project management practice for Savills Studley’s Strategic Portfolio Solutions team, including on-site teams at Morgan Stanley, Wells Fargo, and Verizon Wireless.  Team size varied from 10 to 30 staff. Selected accomplishments include:

    • Secured engagement and managed team assigned to Morgan Stanley Next Generation Data Center Project Management Office. The on-site team provided support for data center projects in New York, New Jersey, Utah, and Texas, as well as critical infrastructure upgrades in Pennsylvania, California, and Canada.  The value of this work exceeded $100MM
    • Supervised build-to-suit projects for SPX (250,000 rsf/Charlotte, NC) and WellPoint (250,00 rsf/Athens, GA) with combined TI budgets in excess of $125MM.
    • Delivered 30,000 rsf expansion of existing Wells Fargo 250,000 rsf data center in Charlotte, NC. Upgrades included chiller, motor control center, and power distribution panel replacement, MDF room build outs and project management services for lab/testing space.
    • Managed team which delivered relocation management services for BB&T for the move of 140,000 rsf of equipment, furniture, and staff in Richmond, VA.
    • Provided consulting support for Morgan Stanley for the evaluation of Project Management software platforms to replace the existing, hybrid solution being used by client team, including a weighted ranking of the potential solutions based upon ten (10) previously agreed criteria, an implementation timeline, and rough order for magnitude for cost.
    • Led Program Management Office (PMO) for Savills Studley in service of the IMS Health / Cegedim consolidation, delivering project management services on an international basis. Markets included Paris, Bogota, Parsippany, Phoenix, Singapore, Seoul, Sydney, and Bangalore.

    • Headed the development of Deloitte’s Greater Washington Real Estate Strategy, a strategic portfolio plan for 400,000 sq. ft. of practice offices in the District of Columbia and Virginia.
    • Delivered 172,000 rsf office in Rosslyn, VA for the consolidation of the Deloitte Federal Consulting practice and the newly acquired components of BearingPoint’s Public Service group.
    • Created an enterprise-wide sustainability strategy for a middle-market mid-western financial institution, in response to shareholder activism.
    • Benchmarked competitor performance, engaged market stakeholders, and created a change management/communications strategy to establish social and environmental sustainability program.

Managed New Business Development, as well as P&L Centers for Northeast, Southeast, and Mid-Atlantic Regions. Clients included GE Capital, United Technologies, GMAC Mortgage, and Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC).
