• Sourcing and engaging with start-ups that align with the firm’s strategic investment priorities.
• Leading the Longevity vertical, identifying emerging technologies and closely monitoring key industry trends.
• Conducting comprehensive due diligence and market research

• Scout, evaluate, execute, and manage external R&D opportunities, including strategic academic alliances and partnerships with research institutions. The role entailed: supervising project budgets, ensuring the progression and successful outcomes of projects, fostering efficient communication and coordination among the teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
• Explore and evaluate new research areas,  disruptive/ transformative technologies and platforms contributing to the development of the company technology strategy.
• Manage alliances with Nature and AAA Science, coordinating Merck Research Grants and Research Challenges.
• Plan and organize scientific conferences (live and online) such as the Future Insight Conference; coordinate innovation awards, including the Future Insight Prize and the Nature Spinoff Prize.
• Initiate and manage open innovation initiatives such as the Merck Compound Challenge.
• Longevity-related projects: in collaboration with M Ventures - analysis of the longevity field, potential collaborations and investments, organisation of Longevity workshops, academic collaborations in fields of DNA damage repair and cellular senescence, Senescence roundtable and Innovation seminars with KOLs in the field (Judith Campisi, Brian Kennedy, Jennifer Garrison, Bjoern Schumacher,  Jesus Gil, Eli Keshet).

• Conducted research on "Physical performance and DNA damage response" with a focus on DNA repair and PAR/yH2AX activity.
• Analyzed the MARK AGE study to identify powerful biomarkers of human aging.

• Conducted research on aging and immunosenescence, specifically focusing on the characterization and impact of regulatory CD8+ T cells on cytotoxic activity during healthy aging in mice. Interrupted to move from academia to industry

• Developed event concepts for agencies and created customized product presentations.
• Managed successful touring productions with up to 60 artists.
