The primary goal was to refresh employees’ understanding of the records retention policy, ensuring compliance with both internal company standards and federal regulations.

Client Need

The HR department requested an updated, interactive training module that would:

  • Reinforce key components of the organization’s records retention policy.

  • Improve employee adherence to document handling procedures.

  • Reflect the most current legal and regulatory standards.

My Role

As the instructional designer and course developer, I was responsible for:

  • Consulting with HR stakeholders to identify knowledge gaps and define learning objectives.

  • Researching and synthesizing policy content from internal HR documentation, company guidelines, and federal retention regulations.

  • Designing a user-friendly, visually engaging course structure in Rise 360 that included multimedia elements, knowledge checks, and real-world HR scenarios.

The district leadership identified a need for consistent, high-quality customer service practices among frontline staff, including those in administrative, school-based, and support roles. The goals were to:

  • Provide a scalable, trackable solution for training across various departments and job functions.

My Role

As the course designer, I:

  • Facilitated needs assessment conversations with district leaders and department heads.
