• Based on our school's vision, worked side by side with the Executive director to create long and short term goals to ensure Professional Development and instructional support was focused on the optimal growth of our students  socially, emotionally and academically.
• Coordinated school wide campaign focused on improving school culture through Expected School-wide Learning Results producing 40+ classroom projects to display in order to boost school culture and morale.
• Developed and maintained the monitoring of 404 students' progress through a streamlined Student Success Team Process and mentoring 26 teachers.
  • Provided feedback based on classroom observations to ensure that instruction remained in line with our vision (project based learning) and remained rigorous (Common Core State Standards and Next Generation Science Standards) as well. 
  • Planned and coordinated 12 on site professional development opportunities and 15 off site trainings based on staff interest, instructional need and school vision.  

• Train teachers how to use curriculum integrating research based best teaching strategies such as Active Learning, Project Based Learning, and Arts Integration.
• Trained 50 Teacher Created Materials trainers at National Conference using Active Learning and Whole Brain Teaching Strategies.

• Managed a classroom of 26 students and contributed to school climate that promoted social responsibility and citizenship.
  • Coordinated Field Work opportunities that allowed students to leave campus in order to gain a real life perspective of content studied in class.
  • Taught Common Core State Standards through Project Based Learning and Arts Integration strategies with a strong emphasis in social action.

• Developed 2 performance showcases per year featuring work created by K-8 students across all art forms.Taught Visual and Performing arts for grades k-8 for 4 years.
• Interprets and analyzes data to organize and coordinate efforts for increased student achievement
  • Managed a class of 30 6th graders and taught all subjects through data driven Arts Integration strategies.
  • Resulted in the highest increase of test scores (43%) in this school's academic history.
• Planned, coordinated, and directed assignments for  parent volunteers  to fundraise for 30 students to attend 6th grade camp and field trips.
• Served on committees for the purpose of instilling School Board policies and school vision.
  • Served as Lead Teacher for Kinder - 6th Grades.

  • Led weekly PLCs and submitted notes of  all work covered to administration.
