Summary

I am a highly versatile factual director, producer and post producer with a background in multi-platform investigative journalism. I am a skilled interviewer and storyteller with a proven ability to produce compelling stories while navigating sensitive and challenging situations. 

I have spent 20 years directing, producing and writing award-winning factual  series, documentaries, long form stories and news features across the globe working for major broadcasters including Aljazeera Network, SBS Television, ABC Television, Channel 9, Channel 10, Channel 4 and Channel News Asia and production companies like Eureka, Warner Bros and Fremantle. As well as making over 30 hours of broadcast television, I  work as a multi-platform journalist writing online stories as well as producing and presenting podcasts. I have recently started my own production company, Big Sista Films.

  • Series Directed 4 x 52 mins for Eurkea/SBS. The Secret DNA of Us was broadcast in April 2025.  This first of-its-kind documentary series uncovers untold history, unknown ethnicity, and new connections through DNA testing entire towns. I  developed the scripts and scenes and directed the four episodes in four different towns with three presenters.

  • Set up, directed, scripted and post produced two x half hour documentaries for ABC TV's Compass program.
  • The first film 'Lottery of Life' was on  organ donation. I worked with a small crew and shot many of the most sensitive end of life scenes on my iPhone.
  • Lottery of Life was shortlisted for AIDC Best Documentary under 30, 2023
  • The second film 'Home Grown Imam' follows the challenges faced by one of Australia's first home grown Imam and  key Muslim power brokers  as the Israel/Gaza war unfolds.
