As a network engineer for Blue Origin, I am on the I.T. Networking team supporting Enterprise Technology. This entails being part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, engineers, directly supporting the network engineering environment for various spaceflight systems. I share in the teams' impact on all aspects of networking from the enterprise core to the access layers of the industrial and corporate networks. As an associate engineer for ERC, I was on the Operations & Maintenance team supporting the Launch Control Systems I.T. hardware under the Test & Operations Support Contract (TOSC) for the Artemis program that helped launch humanity's return to the Moon. This entailed reviewing user requirements and needs for new network configurations and performing analysis, design, implementation, installation and documentation related to new configurations and provided real-time troubleshooting, anomaly resolution and system recovery as necessary.
As a Senior Network Engineer for DGR Systems, I collaborated with chief executives to develop sales strategies that focused on the delivery of network solutions for small and medium businesses. I also worked with technology and supply chain services with a focus on the enterprise commercial, public and telecom service provider sectors to deploy and integrate new infrastructure while implementing the latest in VPN security, encryption and authentication methods. Additionally, I created process documentation for routine installation and deployments of network infrastructure along with performing site-surveys and assessments. Escalation point for Technical Operation Center for managed service clients.
As a Network Engineer for Digital Hands, I reported directly to the CTO and developed network designs and inventory, disaster recovery documentation, and change control forms to comply with ISO and PCI standards. Assist with on-boarding of new employees including but not limited to imaging PCs, creating domain and email accounts in Active Directory and Exchange, deploying VoIP equipment along with setting up DID numbers and user extensions, and managing firewall rules to permit remote access for employees to work from home.
As a Network Engineer for Vision Technologies, I worked exclusively with the fifth-largest school district in the United States, the Clark County School District in Las Vegas, Nevada. My role started as a team lead deploying Meru wireless controllers and access points, and progressed into surveying and designing Cisco based wireless network infrastructures. During our last phase of deployments, we successfully deployed over 100 schools and administrative sites resulting in the lowest ticket count in nearly 5 years.
As a Network Engineer for Xerox ITO, I worked exclusively with our client, The Walt Disney Company, at their Orlando, Florida data center on the Walt Disney World Resort property. I was an integral part of testing and validating network designs during the migration from Cisco Catalyst 6500 series chassis and Cisco content services switches, to the latest Cisco Nexus and F5 BIG-IP and VIPRION load balancers.
I began my career at AVI-SPL as an audio-visual technician and rapidly advanced through the department and was recruited into the I.T. Solutions group as an I.T. Project Manager, in part to my knowledge and passion for technology. During my tenure, I gained industry certifications and was ultimately promoted to Director of I.T. Solutions. I oversaw the direction and staff of the I.T. Solutions department for rental services, events, conferences, along with HSIA hospitality networks. I expanded our portfolio and offerings and reduced operational costs by simplifying the range of our product offering and providing training to the sales and production teams on the solutions within our portfolio.
