  • Designed and produced end-to-end brand and event marketing strategy; won $1M restaurant giveaway competition beating a field of 85+ competitors!
  • Led cross-functional team through the planning and execution of 12 multi-day, international conferences for more than 10K B2C + B2B open-source software consumers including content identification, speaker management, venue selections, contract negotiations, sponsor fulfillment, registration system management, and A/V and F&B oversight.

Innovative Event Sales Strategy  | Designing and delivering the high-value opportunities sponsors want. 

  • Designed and produced a comprehensive experience-centered B2B hybrid event sponsorship prospectus; Led sales and fulfillment team to achieve single-year 107% sales-to-plan
  • Expanded mission-aligned, revenue-generating, year-round sponsorship products by pinpointing shared interest groups and using data to create exciting experiential events with a focus on underrepresented communities and diversity. 
  • Overhauled signature event sales strategy, introducing annualized sales approach;  achieved 20.9% single-year sales revenue growth.
  • Streamlined annual event sponsorship solicitation and fulfillment processes resulting in a $50K single-year increase in revenue.

Operational Analyses | Evaluating processes and procedures with the intention to ensure alignment.

  • Developed and implemented organization-wide operational processes to enhance organizational efficiency and fortify culture, launching first-ever policy and procedure manuals; event lifecycle SOPs; and emergency communications and annual work plans.
  • Conceptualized and launched revised annual event performance tracking system including attendance, sponsorship, and P&L dashboards resulting in 25% single-year growth in average per program attendance and 10% average annual revenue growth over three years.

Fiscal Acuity | Balancing financial performance and program impact to create and execute sound budgets and deliver profitable experiences.

  • Led Winnie & Ethel's to +$1M and net profitable 1st year with no prior restaurant operations experience.
  • Successfully negotiated +$150k in credits and/or complementary services with multiple hospitality and service providers for failure to uphold contracted obligations; (Re)negotiated multiple 2020-2022 COVID-19-related venue contract cancellations successfully avoiding +$500K in penalties.
  • Built and rolled out the dashboard to monitor financial performance and constituent impact of strategic programs, resulting in 25% single-year average per program participation growth and 10% average, annual year-over-year revenue growth for three years.
  • Overhauled organizational financial management practices including the creation of a chart of accounts; standard month, quarter, and year-end close protocols; expense reporting/reimbursement procedures; standardized event P&L tracking; and analysis and selection of requisite IaaS and SaaS tools.
