Mark Ponikvar

Senior Director of Enterprise Applications and Data Analytics

Summary

I am a United States Military Academy (West Point) graduate, certified Six Sigma Black Belt, driven leader.  I won the Outstanding Contribution Award of the Year twice at Cell Signaling Technology.  I am passionate about developing people, both inside and outside of my organization, to help them grow as an individual while providing high benefit to the needs of the company.  I enjoy working with people to drive common understanding of how IT can accelerate timelines to meet corporate goals.  I look forward to bringing my wide knowledge of business processes and the implementation of technology together to strategically drive business forward.

SELECTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS

  • Worked with the Executive staff to understand their challenges in IT support, developed a strategic roadmap to address those needs, and defined the hiring plan to execute against that roadmap.  This plan was then used to drive an overhaul of how IT support services were provided.  This resulted in quicker delivery of help as an initial self-service model, a 20% reduction in spend, and higher IT satisfaction metrics.
  • Developed and executed a plan for correcting 404(b) deficiencies.  This included writing new controls, cleaning up existing controls, as well as creating a repeatable, documented process.  This new process resulted in zero findings over multiple years.
  • Established the idea of unstructured, public data being leveraged to understand our customers purchasing patterns.  Created a proposal that was accepted by MIT Sloan's Analytics Laboratory for a team of students to apply AI techniques to pull out relevant data.  Developed partnership with the team from MIT Sloan resulting in new guidance to our product development and marketing teams.
