Leader of all formation programs throughout Providence (120,000 caregivers, 51 hospitals, 1000 clinics). Built, designed and grew the Providence Mission Leadership Institute as a world class leadership training program. Led the delivery, curriculum build and strategy for the premier of the programs within the Providence Mission Leadership Institute. Transitioned leadership development from a learning management system to a learning experience platform. Responsible for leading all formation programs across the Providence Health system: organization Boards (Regional and Divisional), Senior Executives (hospital and clinic), Core Leaders (Hospitals and clinics,)and Discerning Mission Leaders. Created a Masterclass (6/yr.) for Mission Leader development. Currently over 2,500 participants are attending this formation program.

Digital Innovation
Led the transformation of a new way of training through multisensory and digital platforms. Oversaw the design of a website, a broadcast method of leadership development delivery to multiple cities on a live stream, utilized Spotify to create playlists curated by a musical director of a symphony, podcast with over 55 episodes, YouTube Channel created to drive content, Linked-in channel for content engagement. Broadcast coordination of local content delivered to the system on a bi-monthly cadence to over 700 caregivers increase the reach of local efforts. Oversee the production team for each session to offer an excellent live stream program in real time.

• Created and serve as the host for the Providence Walk with Me Podcast. Over 55 interviews with thought leaders throughout the United States. More than 5,000 downloads and international engagement.

• Visioned a Spotify Playlist with the director of the Fort Smith Symphony. Each leadership module has a playlist for further learning that engages the sense of sound. Participants listen to the music before attending the program as a sensory development practice to draw out the themes of the upcoming session.

Leadership Development Programs within the Mission Leadership Institute

• Fireside Chats with Executives and Local Leaders engage in live discussions facilitated to understand the overall issues of the health system. Completed close to 100 discussions with leaders on live broadcasts and local town halls to inform and inspire caregivers.
• Board Governance Formation created in 2023 with a co-design model of all regional boards from Providence. Launched in 2024 each region holds a total of four sessions on the foundational themes within the Mission, Culture and Vision of Providence.
• The Foundations of Providence an introduction for new caregivers in the mission and culture of Providence. Over 700 graduates completed the leadership development training across the health system.
• Mission Leadership Academy is a leadership formation development program focused on the essential elements of Catholic Healthcare. An 18-month program with thought leaders throughout the United States are broadcasted to 18 cities where Providence is in real time. The University of Providence provides 123 graduate credits for participation within the program.

• Executive Mission Leadership Formation enhanced with over 2,000 alumni within executive leadership participating in formation. An 18-month experience that focuses on the values of Providence while grounding in the essential elements of Catholic Healthcare. Experiential learning, reflective integration and facilitation on sensory awareness centers the program.
• The Discerning Mission Leader Program created an 18-month learning journey into the essential elements of Mission Leadership. First Cohort of 35 caregivers participated in the curriculum.

of Shared Services. Created a Mission Extender program to reach remote workers and implement mission effectiveness throughout all shared services. Convene weekly calls for over 100 remote caregivers to build community and engagement within the mission. Mission extenders are extensions of Mission Integration Officers to lead local community efforts.

Responsible for leading the Mission Integration team for the state of California. Created and maintained alignment among regional mission leaders in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. Reorganized mission structure with service area leads that led the ministry in strategic planning for mission.

Leadership development:

• Developed and implemented the first investing in the Future and Mentoring of the Next Generation Physician Leadership Development program for clinical leaders. The 18-month curriculum engaged early career physicians with thought leaders throughout the United States and senior operation executives.
• Facilitated identification and engagement of targeted 20 Mercy leaders for enrollment in programs from 900 clinics, 4 states, 2500 physicians.

Mission and Culture

• Directed and implemented programming to engage Mercy employees in understanding and embracing the Mercy health system culture.
• Served as Chairman of the Mercy Clinic Mission Culture Council to drive critical programs that drive inclusion and innovation, benefiting 40,000 employees.
• Developed methodology and action steps to enable the entire system methods of practice for improving physician relations. Participant on Mercy Experience Leadership Team to provide guidance and strategy on Provider Engagement and Retention.
• Advisor for Mercy Patient Satisfaction Module: NRC Health-Human Understanding
• Provided formation (experiences that invite leaders to discover connections to meaning and organizational purpose) in relevant and measurable ways and in a variety of formats to board members, executives, integrated and aligned physicians, and employees across all Mercy sites (41 hospitals, 900 clinics).

Community Partnership

• Lead Mercy Clinic Executive Team in community outreach-partnership development focused on social determinants of health. A marginalized community Catholic Academy benefits from navigators and increased resources for better health as a result of the partnership.
• Established a partnership with MIT -SOLVE to begin mentoring and innovating new technology solutions for healthcare entrepreneurs throughout the world, with an objective to assist innovators in technology and Healthcare market entrants.
