My mission at TPC has been clear: built a first-class Product and Engineering team from scratch, and pivot the business from a reactive "ticketing" mindset to a customer obsessed Product led approach. In addition to Product and Technology, I also lead our Customer Experience team, focused on sales-assisted e-commerce for a high-consideration product.

  • In my first 100 days, I grew core team from 2 devs to 25 Product, UX, and Fullstack Engineers, aligned in 3 agile squads
  • Championed Product-led thinking across our organization, re-focusing teams on Jobs to be Done, Need States, and Customer Journey Maps
  • Led a re-platforming strategic initiative to identify gaps in current technology offerings, and plot a course to Headless E-commerce powered by Shopify
  • Fully refreshed an aging technology stack with best-in-class e-commerce architecture (Search via Algolia, Customer Data Platform via Segment/Twilio, etc)

Vice President Infrastructure and Services

Leading a multi-disciplinary team of over 200 engineers, I guide the efforts of on-premise and cloud application hosting within NBCU. Our team includes application development, DevOps and automation, storage, compute, virtualization, middleware and database. Collectively, our responsibility spans 12 worldwide datacenters and public cloud environments, dedicated to managing over 2500 applications.

  • Initiated and championed "Automation First" initiative, focused on reducing toil and manual effort in infrastructure operations workflows
  • Exceeded 5% Opex budget reduction in first 120 days
  • Curated a DevOps and Automation training curriculum, and created the "Skill Up" initiative - observed and tracked measured skill growth in 35% of the team
  • Championed Product and Agile thinking, and pivoted several Capital projects from Waterfall to Agile methodologies
  • Re-imagined aged ITSM approach to service management and delivery with a focus on SRE principles

At Bluprint, I led a cross-functional team of software engineers inclusive of Frontend, Mobile, Platform, Data and Analytics, DevOps and QA focused on delivering both customer facing and internal applications. Additionally I led a team of embedded Project Managers, focused on project planning, execution, coordination and accounting across our business.

  • Implemented formal Agile practice to improve predictability and velocity in our software development practice. 
  • Implemented a company wide PMO, serving to lead cross functional projects and implement a company wide project tracking system.
  • Championed post-acquisition technology and platform integration projects with parent company. 
  • Spearheaded Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Governance initiatives with NBCU Enterprise Technology teams
  • Reduced Engineering OpEx by 35% to better align cost structure with company goals
  • Successfully re-platformed bespoke application stack with an Enterprise CMS supporting a rebrand and business pivot

As Advisor, I work with pre-funding stage teams on MVP, smart technology choices, go to market strategy, and fundraising. Some clients include HealthSqyre, Rumblesum and Ojos.

  • Led culture and talent acquisition initiatives to support aggressive hiring and team-formation goals
  • Recruited and built our first Data Service team, with focus on enhanced Data Warehousing and BigData/event processing systems.
  • Formed Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) group, adopting SoA/microservice approaches for enhanced availability.

Responsible for piloting an aggressively growing startup's technology needs. Built all elements of DevOps and IT from a standing start. Leveraging the AWS environment, we created a development and production stack with automation, resilience, and scale as core design considerations.
