Following the successful development of a profitable department within Jam, starting her own agency was natural progression. Building the agency single-handedly, Mel has managed every aspect from new business, social media, influencer outreach, event management, account management, team development and mentoring as well as budgeting and forecasting. Clients include Skype, Sony, Vodafone, Samsung, GAP, Samsung, Eurostar, Nails Inc and OnePiece amongst others.

Within a year of launching, the agency was already turning over a profit of £250,000.

Launched and developed a successful influencer engagement team within the agency. Responsible for cross-agency pitches, Mel was the key contact for executives across the business (multi-agency), ensuring seamless teamwork to win key contracts.

Delivered a strategy to develop the division into a profitable business unit with clients including Microsoft, Samsung Global,Rolls-Royce and Sky. Introduced client training seminars to add value and strengthen relationships along with a new CRM system now used throughout the agency.

Solely responsible for planning and producing the Future of Web Apps conference internationally. Growing profit 400% in less than two years, the conference went from a 400 person event to a 2000 multi-track conference with expo.

Mel produced every aspect of the event, from designing the event programme, deciding upon venue and timing (having researched competitors), logistics, AV requirements, sourcing international speakers, 3rd party supplier management, ticketing, sponsor liaison, speaker management and hospitality, online marketing of the events, project management, press partnerships, monitoring real-time feedback through social media, customer service, post-event analysis.
