• Led communications and outreach strategy for a large sustainable farm, with a focus on improving sustainability metrics and narratives.

• Developed communications strategies for one of TNC’s three global conservation priorities; including elements of policy, social marketing, donor communications and brand visibility. Led communications strategy development for The Nature Conservancy’s urban conservation work worldwide, developing equity-focused partnerships and aligning with environmental justice goals.

• Developed and implemented marketing plan for Planting Healthy Air, a report released in October 2016 that resulted in more than 80 major media pieces, pickup from key partners including IUCN, UN and The World Bank and social media reach exceeding 23 million.
• Initiated communications plans for relaunch of Nature Lab youth education program.
• Advanced Nature Conservancy outreach at UN Habitat III global meeting on urban sustainability.

• Managed crisis communications, spokesperson training and message development for multiple state chapters. Prepared press releases and planned media events to gain coverage of conservation and developed digital and media content to support visibility. 
• Edited membership newsletters for several states,  developing content to drive maximum donor engagement.
• Co-developed and implemented ‘Nature is ME’ environmental education partnership with Maine Today Media, reaching more than 75,000 people via an online sweepstakes and events strategy.
• Conceived, planned and coordinated ‘Future of Nature’ multi-year integrated marketing program, including an award-winning Boston advertising campaign, a public radio partnership and a speaker series that attracted more than 500 attendees annually for three years.
• Completed an Environmental Leadership Program fellowship.

• Published award-winning investigative and feature stories on such topics as wilderness and wildlife protection, water pollution and lead poisoning. Received Society of Environmental Journalists 2007 national award for climate change coverage.
• Completed fellowships via Institute for Journalism and Natural Resources, Vermont Law School, and Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.
