  • Communicated design issues from suppliers to engineering through Supplier Change Request form.
  • Spearheading the new launch module at the supplier, conducting a module-specific audit, establishing SOPs, checklist and monitoring on the KPIs to ensure it is heading towards the right direction in-line with business needs
  • Provide training to suppliers in accordance to company's requirements and introducing Skill Matrix to suppliers to monitor their employees' competency

  • Lead for QA New Product Development (NPD) project since Evaluation Validation Test (EVT) stage until Mass Production (MP). Ensuring product quality meeting customer requirement and ensuring all activity carried out during EVT has been locked down prior to release to sustaining team during MP.
  • Established Control Plan for any new product development
  • Ensuring CAPA for customer failures are in place during NPD stage and is closed and no occurrence during MP.
  • Drive continuous improvement in manufacturing quality system, process and yields improvements

  • Achievements:
    • Continuous improvement project activity: Accomplished cost-saving activity up to USD 886,500.6 per year which is 75.37% saving for the dummy usage for reliability test.
    • Top Yield Hitters activities: Open/Short, Check sync and Blank Image. Teamwork and perseverance have led the team to achieve the target within 2 months. Yield losses have been reduced from 5% to 0.5%.  On top of that, an incentive has been awarded to recognize this activity.
    • As the lead during the line release from NPD stage to mass production for Akero product. Total of 10/10 lines being released successfully for mass production
    • Actively involved in the check sync issue which was the highest customer reject in May 2010.  Even though just newly joined the company.  Able to find the root cause of the problem which is due to poor quality of laminating process prior to bonding process.  The poor laminating process was due to ACF (Anisotropic Conductive Film) tape
    • As the lead for QA for another NPD project (Rhode Island Project) since EVT stage in September 2011 until mass production in July 2012.

  • Coordinate both quality and manufacturing on implementation of the quality plan for product and system audit. i.e. taking the lead to ensure operators adhere to QS9000/TS16949 requirements.  Managed and supervised a small team 35-40 operators to conduct daily quality needs.
  • Work closely with the Process Engineer to obtained optimum production output and ensure quality target are being met.
  • Documentation of procedures/processes i.e. Generate and implement Standard Operation Procedure (SOP) for easy operators understanding

    • Scrap improvement activity: Managed to salvage 35% of cosmetic discrepancy units, shipped and zero customer return
    • Established cosmetic Limit sample and method of inspection which lead to cost down activity
