Ph.D Thesis title: Investigation of the protective effect of p-coumaric acid, a common dietary polyphenol against sodium arsenite-induced toxicity in rats with respect to oxidative stress and signaling pathways
Main objectives:
  • Handling of experimental animals (mice and rat)
  • Estimation of liver (liver function test), renal (kidney profile), cardiac (lipid profile) and brain (AchE) specific markers
  • Histopathological examination of rat tissues (liver, renal, cardiac and brain)
  • Synthesis of cDNA
  • Gene (mRNA) expression analysis of inflammatory cytokines, transcription factors, protein kinases, apoptotic proteins by q-RT-PCR
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Conducted Practical classes for graduate (B.tech and M.tech) students
