monitor jobs executing on mainframe , report job status, check error messages,printing reports, create files/edit/rename/delete/recovery,check daily OPC schedules and liase with WOB on daily scheduling requirements)

Job TRIGGER PROCEDURES FROM MVS runs in option SM37 (a check to see if there is anything coming from SAP , also early indicator if link between SAP and mainframe is open for transmission)
11. UNIX reboot/archive 22.00pm and offline @ 4.05am
Perform daily archive , change logging tapes,take offline , restore archives when asked,reboot UNIX servers in darkroom on Sunday evenings)
12. ACCESS CONTROL
WEBCAM/SACO
Computer Room/Safe/Darkroom access control. Controlling access on SACO.

(Initialize/add/remove and change platters when spools are nearly full)

(log,assign,journalise,close calls for operations)

16:Tape Media Replacement
Ensure that all Tape Media dependant on age, read errors and or number of cycles
used, be replaced so as to reduce the risk of defective media which may lead to data
loss during recovery operations.

Check W.I for operations . Update job tickets for any new job/jobs
that requires monitoring.

(ensure outlook is up at all times,react to all critical messages important for daily scheduling,preparation of jobs – VIP)

Filing of tapes,daily reports,keeping computer room tidy and clean etc,etc.

Control issue and receiving of all pc/laptop equipment in the safe.

Monitor Computer Room/Dark Room and DR Room temperature,alerts and take corrective action.

Control the use of emergency firefighter ID’s for IS.Development staff.
Change passwords,create audit logs,and record in spreadsheet.
