Environmental Artist

Alana harmonizes imagery with informative wordplays, transforming them into spirited showpieces. Her signature works are digital collage including hand rendered paintings with photography. She has not succumbed to AI.

Her paintings, prints and textiles live in private collections throughout the United States, Canada, Britain and Brazil. They've been exhibited at the Bruce Museum of Arts and Sciences and at the Smithsonian Institution in partnership with the US Botanical Garden in Washington, D.C.

Prints of her paintings were sold in the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

Alana’s textile banners have been displayed and signed at international climate change conferences: COP22 in Morocco, COP23 in Germany and COP24 in Poland as well as the Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco, California.

Public Speaker

Alana’s first talk for "Humanity Unites Brilliance" rewarded her with a standing ovation.

Since then she has spoken for The Manzanita Institute Speaker series, “Soil Not Oil” in San Francisco and "California Vision 2020" in Sacramento.

In 2019 Alana offered a TEDx talk at the American University of Paris that was a comedy of errors in the midst of chaos on the streets. The original footage vanished with the camera person!

Alana was behind the podium at COP22 in Marrakesh, COP23 in Bonn, COP24 in Katowice and COP25 in Madrid encouraging engagement in solutions activism.

Environmental Advocate and Educator

Born in Brazil to American and British parents, Alana cultivated a passion for the plant kingdom from her very first steps upon the earth. Decades later, her experience as a landscape designer in Puerto Rico created the backdrop for future rainforest education and renewal projects.

In 2026 RainforestECO became a non-profit to expand educational outreach.

Reforestation Project Founder

In 2010 Alana became the founder of the non-profit iGiveTrees projects in Brazil. They were recognized by the French Ministry of Environment as one of "100 Projects for the Climate.”

Achievements

The iGiveTrees project was recognized as a citizen initiative that mitigates the effects of global warming by the French Ministry of Environment in 2016. This resulted in invitations to participate in UNFCC Conference of Parties: COP22, COP23, COP24 and COP25.

Working in collaboration with the French OpenTeam, Alana co-hosted a side-event for Project Drawdown in Bonn, Germany at COP23. At the time she was given the title “La Pollinisatrice” — the Pollinator — for her ability to make fruitful connections! Since then, she has naturally continued to connect high profile individuals with the skilled resources they need to accomplish their own goals.
