Maintenance Planner/Storeroom Supervisor

Foster Poultry Farms

Used SAP CMMS program and set-up PM's for the entire plant. Developed and generated SOP’s for the storeroom. Trained storeroom personnel on proper kitting of parts for PM’s and other scheduled repairs. Improved cycle count accuracy rates from 89-93% to 97-99%  by setting up new parts receiving and issuing procedures.  Directed the change in the storeroom from an open one to a closed one. Programmed an Excel spreadsheet of all the storeroom parts including pictures of the parts for use by the technicians and started attaching pictures of parts into the SAP CMMS program. Only plant in the company to do so. Developed PM completion rate report for management. PM completion rates changed from 75-85% when I started to this last few years of 95-100%. Developed power point presentations for all processes of PM planning and storeroom procedures as training tools for new maintenance technicians and storeroom personnel.

Setup PM program for the plant. Worked with Production Management writing new start-up procedures that eliminated costly start-up lost production time. Set-up Equipment  downtime reporting procedures for the maintenance department technicians to use to track the actual lost production time as a result of equipment failures.

Setup the plants PM program using Maximo CMMS program. Coordinated the plant scheduled shutdown maintenance. Directed up to four planners in preparation for the scheduled shutdown. Using Access generated several reports for the plant Manager. Contracted and coordinated facility repairs performed by vendors.

Maximo CMMS program power user. Managed all facilities maintenance repairs and projects for Cereal Plant 2. Supervised up to fifty maintenance technicians during maintenance shutdowns of Cereal Plant 2. Managed maintenance planning for eleven warehouses which included five miles of interconnecting conveyors, four palletizers, two robotic storage and retrieval warehouses. Supervised shipping dock operations. Setup parts rebuild system that reduced repairs downtime preventing production system shutdowns.

Introduced Maintimizer CMMS program into the plant and set-up more efficient PM program for the film and paper processing equipment resulting in a 99.9% production uptime. Setup the facilities department with plant personnel that reduced the facilities maintenance cost by 20%. and eliminated the need to contract outside vendors for remodels and new equipment installations. Restructured the storeroom for more efficiency. Volunteered as the plants EHS coordinator for 7 years.
