About Me

I am a technically savvy, business-oriented and forward-thinking professional with a career that reflects both strong leadership qualifications and hands-on IT expertise. That, coupled with my experience in working with new computing architectures and multi-based platforms, as well as my managerial background makes me very well versed in IT. I strongly believe that hands-on expertise is essential to being a first-rate IT Manager. In other words, managers shouldn’t hesitate in getting their hands dirty, so to speak. I am a strong believer in bringing a business value component to a company through the use of technology. Indeed, computer systems should be built to run almost maintenance-free so that the IT department can concentrate on implementing projects that bring real business value to a company.   • Responsible for day-to-day operations, management and support of the IT Infrastructure in the US as well as in the regional offices in LATAM
  • Managed a team of 5 high performing engineers and DBAs'
  • Managed and supported Corporate systems as well as all customer facing websites and applications including HBO GO

  • Consolidated all Microsoft EA contracts into one master agreement (managed by Time Warner parent company) saving almost 100k in licensing costs
  • Consolidated all vMware renewals to be the same date and piggy-backed off Time Warner agreement saving over 60k in licensing costs

  •  Managed a team of six employees with 2 direct reports located in Miami and Buenos Aires which included: an IT Manager; Senior Infrastructure Engineer; Senior Technician; an Oracle Analyst an Oracle DBA and a Systems Administrator, while working from the headquarters located in Miami
  • Responsible for monitoring the infrastructure and supporting the staff (back-office IT) as well as all project roll-outs--we did everything in-house

  • Developed all of the Business Continuity strategies and IT policy/procedures.
  • Established all of the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance controls, procedures and all preparations related to quarterly audits
  • Avoided a major disaster by recovering Windows 2000 AD (had to seize all roles and move them to a healthy DC, then migrated directory services to windows 2003) this was accomplished without a backup of the system-state during my first week of employment. The main DC was down for over 60 days before I was hired.
  • VMware roll out project- converted all physical Windows based servers to virtual machines, saving thousands of dollars in the process.
  • Resolved data/phone line outage issue with local ISP (power surge was causing data & phone line outages, Bellsouth replaced smart jack cards and all batteries at the MUX for the entire building after an extensive amount of trouble-shooting on our end).

  • Responsible for all network and systems related issues. Including but not limited to: end user support, server/desktop installations and upgrades, maintenance, software configuration, optimization, security policies and overall system administration.


  • Converted all Windows servers to virtual machines running on In turn saved the company about 60k on hardware/software by using Linux and VMware.
  • Implemented a highly secure infrastructure by building a deep-packet inspection firewall that is based on IP-tables and Linux. Was able to eliminate virus intrusion to the network for two years after implementation.
