A time served Electrical Technician with over 25 years onshore and offshore experience working in environments such as aviation, manufacturing, production and Oil and Gas. I served a full apprenticeship in the UK and continued on up to a Supervisory level within the electrical industry. I became involved in Oil and Gas Operations at entry level Jnr Technician and progressed up management level of OIM. Heavily involved in front-line maintenance  and soon found myself utilizing maintenance tools such as SAP, Maximo and Primavera. I've planned and completed a number of successful shutdowns / turnarounds both onshore and offshore and have been involved with various projects from planning to execution and onto completion. I have managed workforces of various sizes from 10 to over 200 people and led the emergency response teams from both a fire team member position and leading the command center in the OIM role. I am ISSOW/COW trained and have attained numerous safety awards including IOSH Managing Safely. Well versed and competent in the use of Microsoft Office.

Operations Support Engineer

I work as part of an Operations Support team in the Gulf of Suez who look after and plan the various platforms shutdowns. I work with the local OIMs and Engineers in a nationalisation program, helping their transition to an onshore support role and to ensure that we are moving forward in the correct manner and address any issues that we come across. With the focus rightly on safety, we have to minimize the down time of the production to ensure we optimize the throughput of process/export at all times. Attend various meetings as required and carry out presentations as required for safety, process or any other conditions that I am able to cover.

Operations Production Supervisor

Held the role of Operations Supervisor/Deputy OIM on the Eider Alpha platform in the Northern North Sea. I reported directly, when applicable, to the OIM. My duties involved the safe day to day running of the Platform from both Production and General Operations sides. Heavily involved in the safety of the personnel on board I was involved in setting up and running the platforms safety training and drills and also managed the departments safety goals. I liaised with Bureau Veritas for verification purposes and also the HSE for any issues that may arise from their regular visits. I organised the manning levels and looked after the departments 28 and 90 plans to ensure works were carried out effectively and efficiently, without conflict. I looked after and supervised various vendors who were required offshore to carry out planned works. I attended numerous conference calls daily and also chaired meetings offshore which include weekly safety meetings.

Lead Operations Technician

Duties involved the operation of the Curlews production package and engine room to optimize production and minimize environmental impact. I was  involved with chemical sampling, , the reporting of faults to the relevant supervisor and planning / carrying out isolations as and when required for front line maintenance and planned maintenance. I was also involved in the PTW system daily in my role as Platform Coordinator / Lead Technician.  In this role I reported to the Production Supervisor. I was involved in the refurbishment of the Curlew when it was taken into dry dock at Blohm and Voss shipyard in Hamburg.

Duties involve the running of the Ardmore Field Oil Production Plant, planned and unplanned front line maintenance on pumps, motors, transmitters and valves, SIL compliance checks and verification checks, working with Roxar MPFM and carrying out chemical analysis. I finished my employment in the role of Process Control Room Operator.

After serving a full apprenticeship with James Scott (Amec) I was contracted to work on a number of large projects for numerous clients. These were to include BAA, Diageo, ICI and latterly BP. I served as an approved electrician on the Forties Pipeline for over 4 years carrying out hazardous area maintenance, whilst working in an oil and gas environment.
