Developed immediate book of business with insurance carrier clientele by utilizing over 20 years of industry experience in assessing property loss costs and coverage cause and origins.  Improved estimating turn around times and reduced loss costs for insurance carrier and adjuster clientele by providing proper scope assessments and production of construction estimating documents. Utilized both claims and construction knowledge to provide accurate and detailed estimates, cause and origin reports, bid comparisons and on site consulting for large losses. Called on by clientele to negotiate fair and reasonable claims settlements. Successfully negotiated and saved hundreds of thousands of dollars for carrier and adjuster clientele in difficult repair cost disagreement situations with represented insured’s. Completed all sizes of residential and commercial property claims business. Exceeded sales goals by strong customer service and quality delivery. Delegated and managed multiple vendors to provide high quality service delivery from emergency service, water and fire mitigation, engineering, contents, specialty trades while meeting all cost controls established by clientele.

Successfully mentored and hired successor to manage business.  Continually built and grew business with a limited budget. Developed, negotiated and committed resources to start up a full turn key residential and commercial property claims restoration and general contracting division for an already established multi-million dollar electrical and plumbing sub-contractor. Officer of division in charge of all aspects of the business operations including plan and direct all parts of the organization’s restoration division.  Established a mold and water damage emergency service division.  Directed project leads and ensured quality control and customer service. Produced annual top line increases in business from 1 million the first year to over 4 million in year 4 while improving cost savings to increase bottom line by over 20%.

Lead Estimator in charge of insurance fire and water damage property claims from small scale residential to total loss construction for residential, HOA and light commercial projects.  Successful completion of over $3,000,000.00 in completed projects. Oversight and direction of supporting field personnel, coordination of subcontractors, budgeting, change order and cost analysis and revisions.  Overseeing multiple projects at one time. Oversight of the California market for cost engineering firm that developed a national contractor referral network for major insurance carriers. Development and implementation of training programs for Contractor Vendors. Increased product quality and customer service to major client by effectively raising all performance standard measurements from the 50-percentile to over 95-percentile compliance. In charge of compliance with contractual performance matrices for vendors. Presented performance outcomes to insurance carrier executive team. Proved effectiveness in cost savings to client.   • 1 yr -Provided immediate impact for a top 100 mutual insurance company by handling over 5 million in property loss assessments on large value commercial property damage claims over $100,000 while directing and administering to lesser value property damage claims handled by outside IA vendors and contractors in various states.
  • 2 yrs -Established, maintained, and promoted client relations, managed 3 person staff, provided oversight and training to junior staff members for estimating and assessment of property damage claims. Handled Multi-Line claims through closure.  
  • Contract job 3 months-Directly requested by the Vice President of the California Fair Plan to assist in the file review of over five hundred files for compliance as set forth in the Cheeks vs. California Fair Plan decision.
  • 3 yrs. Worked in a high volume environment as a field property loss claims estimator handling a large pending.
