Steven Andrew Del Gaizo is a highly accomplished Leader with a strong background in the automotive industry. Single point of contact for the Infotainment & Connectivity (I&C) system. Responsible for delivering and executing the I&C system on Chevy & Cadillac EV's leading a team of engineers, SW developers, UI/UX and mobile app designers
● Executed the first EV go-fast program (Chevy Equinox EV) by aligning program content for I&C that led to 3% EBIT improvement and developed unique strategies to reduce development time by 50%
● Collaborated cross functionally to deliver new features to enhance customer experience by executing Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving and Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) on future programs
● Led SW development team to implement the first execution of in-house SW with agile methodology
Managed, and executed parts for LiDAR sensors to be used on all future GM autonomous and Ultra-Cruise semiautonomous vehicles; overcame unknown requirements, moving targets, and ambiguity
● Implemented accelerated timing plans, supplier sourcing, and validation plans for fast to market technology to enable a GM/Cruise owned LiDAR startup, working with over thirty engineers and a budget of over $15 million
● Led the Autonomous Technology Core Development Team, managed a team of 40 engineers, tracked part updates, collaborated cross-functionally to resolve issues, and bring over 70% of Component Issues to closure
Developed Multi-Disciplinary Optimization (MDO) process, balancing airflow requirements for aerodynamics, power train cooling (PTC), and brake cooling. Lead for Battery Electric and Autonomous vehicle architectures.
● Ran simulations to calculate aerodynamic forces, identified enablers, and created visualizations to communicate complex airflow interactions to leadership & studio executives

Executed the first use of active shutters on mid and full-size truck programs to balance thermal airflow and aerodynamic requirements. Selected heat exchangers and cooling fans to be used for a wide bandwidth of new vehicle architectures.

Applied engineering criteria to the studio exterior surface and initiated pedestrian protection analysis for the Cadillac CTS and ATS-V
