    Provided nursing care and circulating duties in the cath lab for coronary and peripheral procedures to included diagnostic, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), implants (pacemaker, CRT-P,  and CRT-D), intra-aortic balloon pumps, electrophysiology studies with ablations,  valvuloplasties, thrombolytics for coronary and peripheral patients.  Highly skilled with ACLS and providing procedural sedation.

    Responsible for coordinating all aspects of patient care with multiple departments that support the cath lab.  Established patient care standards for cardiac cath lab patients. Ensured nursing care standards and JCAHO National Patient Safety Goals were met. Responsible for providing MAMC’s PCI data was included in Washington’s statewide Clinical Outcomes Assessment Program (COAP). Trained ICU RNs to cover the cath lab after hours.  Taught a formal EKG class to the US Army Critical Care Nursing Program. Taught classes to nurses on their role during pre and post procedure nursing care. Assisted with stress tests (ETT and dobutamine), transesophageal echos (TEE), cardiac CTs, cardioversions (electrical and chemical), and tilt tables. Supported the cardiology clinic as needed.
